The ever popular Blackjack (21) on your hip by myHIP.com.
If youve ever been to a casino youve probably seen this game of chance.
The object of the game is to beat the dealer by getting a 21 or as close to it without going over (bust).
You will be dealt 2 cards face up, and the dealer will be dealt one up, and one down. The value of the cards is as follows; Jacks, Queens, and Kings are valued at 10 points. The Ace can be either a one or an eleven.
Based on your point value, you determine whether or not to take another card (hit me) to help get to 21 points.
When you are finished, youll stick with that hand (stand). The dealer then exposes her down card and then tries to get to 21 points by taking additional cards. If the dealer has 17 or higher points, the dealer stands.
If you have a higher point value than the dealer without going over, you win! If you both have the same score, then its a tie (push).
If you get 21 points in your first two cards, thats called a Blackjack, and if the dealer doesnt also have one, you win, and you are paid 3 to 2.
In this version, you can split pairs (only once). You can also double your bet after seeing the first two cards (you are only dealt one more card).
You can surrender if you think you have a bad hand (but youll lose half of your bet).
SPECIAL: This app includes a strategy chart which shows all the basic Blackjack plays based on what your cards are.
EXTRA SPECIAL: This app also includes a running count to help you get a feeling for whether the remaining unplayed cards (shoe) are more likely to be a high card or a low card.
NOTE TO REVIEWERS: If you came for a graphics intensive, sound enhanced, feature laden application, then this isnt the app for you. If you came for a good game of Blackjack, then this app might fit the bill.
